When there are too many voices and too much noise, I need to listen to a great piece of music. It completely calms me down, no matter the situation. You are hereby urged to just relax and enjoy whatever music you find amazing.
Wake up and get out! That is the first thing anyone should do in the morning. Fuck a cup of coffee! Don’t brush your teeth or get dressed properly, just go out and take in the world. Start the day with wind in your hair and if not even nature, just “outdoors” around you. I promise that if you start every day like this, you will get addicted and not care about that warm bed inside.
Imagine that instead of starting the day stressed on some commute to work, you start the day outside. Imagine feeling just a little bit more free and making every day a little bit better.
Bowhill’s freshest music videos are out! Nicaya feat. Crossfit Oslo and Karma feat. Oslo Roller Derby. Great videos, fantastic music! If you would like to see the artwork I have made for them, check out my Behancé profile.
Timelapse from the opening of our exhibition on May 20th. EGO. is still standing at Det Akademiske Kvarter, but only for two more days. If you haven’t got around to visiting it yet, now is the time. It is completely free and open between 14 and 22.
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery—celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: «It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to.»
